This year has been rough for Nature Blues with their hiatus and just laying low especially near the end of the year. Meredith Hently did her best to do her job and while maintaining classes and finding time for her family. Walking into the stables she noticed all the horses awaiting to be worked however she was heading to Nature's Blues top mare, Reflected in Water. Meredith placed the lead rope onto her halter and pulled her out with some resistance to small pulling. The Radiance daughter had proven extremely well becoming a dangerous filly out on the tracks holding her own. "This is it girl, one of the biggest races out there, we will both have our victory I promise Remi." Meredith said rubbing her hand over the mares muzzle who soon pinned her ears and a bob of her head.
Reflected in Water was definitely having a grumpy morning as if she knew what day it was as she nipped at her jockey as the two headed out Remi was not in her best moods and when approached by Jazzasoleil who seemed quite calm considering. Carlos had bonded with the filly quite well he knew her quirks and movements to the point working her with Reflected in Water may cause a small issue of dominance. The Jazzman daughter was perky and most likely tended to think of herself higher than the boys she certainly would make it seem so. Her relation to Anodyne was spiking she was his half sister and next season would be her ultimate victory.
Both horses glanced each other in the eyes before Remi gave her the look of disgust and challenging features. Jazzasoleil raised her ears forward before long the two trotted off into a gallop, "Lets take them for about 9 furlongs see how they do." Meredith said knowing the distance route might throw a stir but the light bay filly never disappointed the ranks why would she now? The two mares collided together for a short period as they pushed themselves to the right pace. The Radiance daughter held her position on the outside taunting Jazzasoleil as one would put it keeping the mood the same anyone could tell her relation to Cry Out Chaos as she ran with honor and the fight of determination.
Jazzasoleil was that much more determined to get the job done she would not back down distances was her natural favorite as she bolted with another speed passed the 7th furlong keeping her strides right at the hind of Reflected in Water. Meredith allowed Remi her own space for a short time the mare knew her job well and moving slightly over to block the the bay filly was a slick move on her own part. When the ninth furlong sprung about of course Remi beat it by a length followed by Jazzasoleil proving the two were definitely ready for such features ahead. The Breeder's Cup would be in shock of the races to come.
